MGBurly6PM-e - Burly Economy 6 Drive SATA PM enclosure

  The Burly 6 drive economy enclosure is designed to provide much faster throughput than the 4 or 5 drive enclosures. We’re installing a pair of port multiplier boards that effectively double the speed when the installed drives are RAIDed. The Burly 6 drive enclosure attaches to your port multiplier capable host card with two eSATA cables allowing double the bandwidth. Speeds up to 400 MB⁄s are possible for HD uncompressed video editing or a screaming database. Storage volumes of up to 18 TB are possible with this enclosure using the Hitachi large capacity drives. This is truly a professionals dream machine at a low cost.

  The 6 drive Burly Economy Enclosure is based on our proven 5 drive chassis. We simply install a 6th drive and a second port multiplier effectively doubling performance and increasing storage capacity. The all steel chassis has a built in 300 watt power supply and a pair of 80mm cooling fans to keep the drives cool.

  Attaching the enclosure to your computer couldn’t be easier. With two eSATA ports on the back you simply connect a pair of 1 or 2 meter eSATA cables between the PCI Host Card and Enclosure. Enclosures come fully assembled with your choice of hard drives. If you choose to supply your own drives simply remove the lid, screw the included drive brackets to your drives and screw them into the chassis. Attach a power and data cable to each drive, replace the lid and you’re all set.
