MGBurly5PM-e - Burly Economy 5 Drive enclosure w/ Port Multiplier

  The Burly 5 drive economy enclosure is the perfect low cost professional enclosure for a photo or video database providing a fifth drive for your operating system backup or scratch disk. Able to store up to 15 Terabytes of data, this enclosure when configured in a RAID 0 within your operating system is capable of over 200 MB⁄s. Drives can be software RAIDed into primary and backup database volumes each with two drives boosting performance leaving the 5th drive for your operating system backup. When you’ve out grown the two volumes simply acquire a 4 Bay Burly and configure each enclosure into a 4 drive RAID 0, for primary and backup databases. JBOD is always an option if you prefer to have 5 separate data volumes. The configurations options are entirely up to you.

  Attaching the enclosure to your computer couldn’t be easier. With an eSATA port on the back you connect the 1 or 2 meter long eSATA cable between the PCI Host Card and Enclosure. Enclosures come fully assembled with your choice of hard drives. If you choose to supply your own drives simply remove the lid, screw the included drive brackets to your drives and screw them into the chassis. Attach a power and data cable to each drive, replace the lid and you’re all set.
