ARC-1882x - Areca HIGH PERFORMANCE Dual Core 800 Mhz CPU with 1GB DDR3 ECC RAM on board
 Areca has outdone themselves designing the 1882 series high-performance SAS cards, providing a higher performance version of the venerable and tested 1880X card. ARC-1882x series PCIe 2.0 cards are capable of both 3Gb⁄s and 6Gb⁄s SAS⁄SATA⁄SSD devices using 6Gb⁄s SAS expanders. By using expanders your system can be extended as your storage needs grow.
Areca’s High Performance PCIe SAS RAID Controller can provide up to 128 SAS or SATAIII peripheral devices using SAS Expanders. These adapters are based on the same RAID kernel of field proven Areca External RAID Controllers. Applications that benefit most from these controllers include NAS, server RAID solutions, web servers, supercomputing, near-line backup, security systems and streaming applications.
The ARC-1882x ships with 1GB of DDR3-1333 SDRAM with ECC Protection on the board.
