iStoragePro CI Design iR8SAE Enclosure  The iStoragePro iT8 and iR8 SAE6G SAS Expanders have all the features you enjoyed from the SAE SAS Expander and more. This unit is a tower or rack style enclosure sporting a smooth, modern design that complements any desktop workstation in style. Through the process of Daisy Chaining, you can connect up to 15 of these enclosures, reaching a maximum capacity of 360 TB of storage. The iStoragePro iT8SAE6G Desktop and iR8SAE6G Rack Enclosures are equipped with high performance SAS expansion technology, designed with one Mini-SAS 8088 cable connection to a computer installed 6Gb⁄s SAS Controller. These enclosures also have two expansion ports to allow Daisy Chaining multiple enclosures off of a single SAS Card. This efficient SAS interface provides a cost effective solution without compromising performance or reliability.

 

iStoragePro CI Design iT8MIS Enclosure  The iT8SAE6G and iR8SAE6G can be used with Apple Final Cut Pro® and Adobe® Premiere® Pro CS4 video editing software, and are compatible with video capture cards from AJA, Blackmagic Design, Bluefish444 and Matrox. When the SAE6G Enclosure is connected to a SAS Card, it can easily be configured as a RAID 0, 1, 5, 6,10 & JBOD, and is capable of providing the performance and fault-tolerance necessary to protect your video data.

iStoragePro CI Design 6Gbs banner  The SAE6G Enclosure connects to your computer installed 6Gb⁄s SAS Controller with 1 Mini-SAS 8088 cable allowing up to 861 MB⁄s Reads and 940 MB⁄s Writes while configured as a RAID 5. (Performance depends on the specific SAS Card used) In addition this enclosure is capable of expanding to 360 TB using up to 15 total iR8SAE6G or iT8SAE6G Expander Enclosures. Storage expansion is easily accomplished by simply plugging in additional expander enclosures as needed. The SAS card can manage up to 15 SAE6G 8 Bay enclosures.

 

 

 

For best results use the same specification SAS controller as the expander. Use only 3G Expanders with 3G SAS Controllers, and 6G Expanders with 6G Controllers.
