 The iStoragePro iR16SASER chassis is equipped with a built in SAS RAID Controller providing excellent performance in an expandible enclosure system. A Host Bus Adapter (HBA) is installed in an available PCIe expansion slot in the host computer and connected to the iR16SASER unit by a single Multilane cable. This efficient SAS interface provides a cost effective solution without compromising performance.
The iStoragePro iR16 SAS RAID system can easily be configured as a RAID 0, 1, 5, 6,10 & JBOD, capable of providing performance and fault-tolerance to protect your valuable data. The iR16SASER chassis is designed for expansion up to 80 drives by daisy chaining multiple iR16SAEJ enclosures. The expander capability of this enclosure allows you to grow your storage system as your needs grow all without taxing your host computer, leaving the computer resources available for other tasks.
