The drives can be formatted into individual (JBOD) mounted drives or in RAID arrays using utilities like OSX Disk Utility, SoftRAID or Windows Disk Management. These enclosures are designed to support the RAID functions that are built into your operating system. Up to 36TB capacities are supported with today’s large drives and up to 800 MB⁄sec transfer rates with unparalleled simplicity and versatility.
