DRIVERS and FIRMWARE *Updated 9-26-2011*
The firmware and drivers that you load when adding new hardware tell the computer how to operate and manage that hardware. The drivers are Operating System specific and occasionally version specific as well. With any Operating System update you should also verify that a Driver or Firmware version change isn't needed to maintain the best performance and reliability for your system. FOR BEST RESULTS DO NOT USE THE RAID VERSION DRIVERS ON APPLE COMPUTERS. Some Microsoft Operating Systems will require that you run the RAID version driver.
We'll try to keep the links for drivers as current as we can. If you don't find the OS version you need, not sure what card you have or just need help, please contact us. There are a lot of OS versions that we don't list that may have drivers available.
We recommend that ALL storage devices be turned off during any update process. Connected drives can at times be effected by driver, firmware or OS updates.
